Debut & Minardi (2005)
Patrick Friesacher's Formula 1 career lasted just the first 11 races of the 2005 season. He tested for Minardi in November of 2004, and subsequently got a race seat at the team for the coming season, however when his sponsors failed to pay the team the amounts agreed he was dropped.
Despite starting so few races he did score 3 world championship points, albeit in the farsical 2005 United States Grand Prix where he finished 6th of the 6 cars that competed because of problems with the Michelin trye.
Since his stint in F1, Patrick raced in A1GP and the American Le Mans series.
