Lucas began his tenure in F1 as test driver for the Renault F1 team, having joined them at the beginning of 2008. In line with that the Brazilian has also driven in 4 seasons of GP2, finishing 2nd - to Timo Glock in 2007, and 3rd twice in 2008 (despite missing the first 6 races) and 2009.
Debut & Virgin Racing (2010)
It was confirmed on the 15th of December 2009 that di Grassi would make his F1 debut driving for Virgin Racing in 2010, alongside Timo Glock.
